The following item is quoted from the May, 1988 newsletter (Vol. V No. 5) from the California based Tara Center. Tara Center is one of the New Age focal points in a world-wide network of people preparing the way for the appearance of the False Christ known as Maitreya.
We quote, "The following forecast concerns remarkable changes which the world can expect to see in the immediate months ahead. They come from Maitreya, a spiritual teacher in London's Asian community, who many believe to be the new Buddha, the Messiah, the Imam Mahdi...and, to Westerners, the returned Christ. This information was given during an April 10th interview with one of his close associates in London...THE MIDDLE EAST ISRAEL-ARAB PROBLEM - An Arab editor who lives in London recently made contact with maitreya and [gave] out a message to all Arabs and Israelis...Each country will have its own respective homeland...The Israeli army will put down their arms. Maitreya's disciple explained that a master can appear in any form. When a politician has a direct experience of Him, that politician changes. This is happening now. Maitreya has appeared before a number of politicians around the world."
Obviously none of these events regarding the Middle East transpired in 1988 nor in any year since.
Satanically inspired prophecies aside, it is of interest to compare these prophecies to the Bible for a clear picture of what will truly take place in the Middle East and to see just how much of God's words for these last days are understood by the Devil.
Maitreya's claim that each country in this troubled region will come to some kind of an agreement is comparable to the covenant of the Anti-Christ foretold of in the prophetic Book of Daniel Ch. 9:27.
"Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate."
That Israel will lower its defenses during the time of this covenant can also be found in the prophetic Book of Ezekiel Ch. 38:8-11.
"After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. "You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you." ‘Thus says the Lord God: "On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: "You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates.'"
Then lastly, the statement that a politician undergoes a transformation by an encounter with Maitreya brings to mind the prophetic Scripture found in Revelation Ch. 13:4-7 where we are shown that Anti Christ is not only the spokesman of Satan, but will also be empowered by him.
"So they worshiped the dragon who give authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?" And he was given a mouth speaking great authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. And it was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation."
The prophetic Scriptures we have shared reveal that these coming events are to be part of the most evil time in mankind's' history. All three of these events directly involve the evil end time dictator known as the Anti-Christ and an unholy 7 year covenant that Israel will enter into with this beastly Man of Sin.
These final 7 years of great testing will consummate with the glorious return of Jesus Christ to this earth with all His saints (Jude verses 14-15).
"Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied abut these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, "to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."
The days are inevitably approaching when Israel will go to war with her Arab neighbors. Analysts who monitor global hot spots are unwaveringly convinced war will come to the Middle East in the near future. Israel is also fully persuaded of this same fact.
Before the people of Israel experience the false peace which will cause them to lower their defenses, as is revealed in Ezekiel 38:8 & 11, the precarious threats posed by Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinians must be eliminated. The means of diffusing these threats must be accomplished by a far greater motivator than the useless paper treaties which have been signed in years past or dubious victories such as we are witnessing in Iraq.
Excluding Israel's most top secret armament the Jan., 1997 "International Intelligence Briefing" gave a listing of what will bring these nations to recognize the apparent wisdom of submitting to the Anti-Christ's 7 year covenant.
We quote, "...Israel's arsenal of weapons of mass destruction are the most open secret of all. It has 150 Jericho-1 missiles, 50 Jericho-2s and 160 MGM 55-C Lance missiles. Israel is also believed to have perfected a Jericho-3 prototype. All have a minimum payload of 100 pounds. At least 50 are deployed on mobile launchers near nuclear warhead storage facilities. Jericho-2 missiles have a range of almost 1200 miles, allowing Israel to strike any target in the Middle East and even some targets in the southern areas of the former Soviet Union. Israel's most powerful missile the Shavit has been used to launch satellites, but could be modified for military purposes and converted into a ballistic missile with a range of more than 3,000 miles."
When Israel's immediate threats are lying in ruinous heaps, as is prophesied in Psalm 83, only then will she be ready to trust a covenant with the Anti-Christ and will lower her remaining defenses. The Oct. 12, 2003 Gazette article which headlined, "Israel capable of staging nuclear attack from sea" reveals why Israel will be required to lower her defenses.
"Israel has modified American-supplied cruise missiles to carry nuclear warheads on submarines, giving the Middle East's only nuclear power the ability to launch atomic weapons from land, air and beneath the sea, according to senior Bush administration and Israeli officials.
The previously undisclosed submarine capability bolsters Israel's deterrence in the event Iran - an avowed enemy - develops nuclear weapons. It also complicates efforts by the United States and the United Nations to persuade Iran to abandon its suspected nuclear weapons program...The Americans said they were disclosing the information to caution Israel's enemies at a time of heightened tensions in the region and concern over Iran's alleged ambitions...Arab diplomats and U.N. officials said Israel's steady enhancement of its secret nuclear arsenal - and U.S. silence about it - has increased the desire of Arab states for similar weapons.
"The presence of a nuclear program in the region that is not under international safeguards gives other countries the spur to develop weapons of mass destruction," said Nabil Fahmy, Egypt's ambassador to the United States. "Any future conflict becomes more dangerous."
Egypt joined Saudi Arabia and Syria at the U.N. General Assembly last month in criticizing the United States and United Nations for ignoring Israel's weapons of mass destruction while pressuring Iran.
A senior Iranian official raised the same issue at a non-proliferation conference in Moscow in September.
"Stability cannot be achieved in a region where massive imbalances in military capabilities are maintained, particularly through the possession of nuclear weapons that allow one party to threaten its neighbors and the region," said Ali Asghar Soltanieh.
Israel will not confirm or deny it possesses nuclear arms. Intelligence analysts and independent experts long have known the country has 100 to 200 sophisticated nuclear weapons.
Israel, India and Pakistan are the only countries with nuclear facilities that have not signed the nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty, which was initiated in 1968 to stop the spread of nuclear weapons through inspections and sanctions. India and Pakistan also have nuclear bombs.
Iran and Arab states with civilian nuclear programs have signed the treaty, and the Arab countries have refused to agree to tougher inspections because Israel will not sign it, U.N. Officials said.
"A big source of contention is Israel," said a senior official trying to win acceptance of the additional inspections. "This is a magnet for other countries to develop nuclear weapons."
Israel and its U.S. backers regard its nuclear weapons as a centerpiece of the country's security. The development of the arms during several decades, with tacit U.S. approval, has been rarely mentioned."
When Ezekiel 38:11 speaks of Israel not having walls, bars or gates one must realize in this day of weaponry, the applicable meaning is not only for the literal walls being built around Israel, but the prophecy would also include in this modern age sensors, radars and other early warning and defensive blocking devices. Old fashioned walls and locks have no deterrent factors when speaking of warfare that would involve artillery, aircraft, and missiles. We live in a day of photon lasers, scalar waves, electromagnetic pulse weapons, anti-aircraft systems and weapons of mass destruction.
The day of these incredible inventions being put to use is near at hand. Then will come the 7 year covenant, followed by the Russian invasion of the Middle East during the first 3 ½ years as is foretold to us in Ezekiel 38 & 39.
The snatching up of God's saints to heaven is near at hand at the event commonly referred to as the Rapture (I Thess. 4:15-18). Are you ready? By your simple, trusting faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins you can be sure of your eternal home with Him in everlasting joy and glory. Don't put it off, tomorrow may be too late.
